Palma Airport Live Flight Arrivals
Palma Airport Arrivals
When you land at Palma Airport you may find that your plane has to dock in the middle of the airfield and not attach to a boarding module at the terminal building. If this is the case you will have to exit the plane down a set of steps attached to the aircraft's entrance and then get on a bus which should be waiting to take you to the ground floor of the terminal building. As you enter the terminal you have to go up some stairs or escalators to get into the arrivals module.
There are four arrivals modules (A, B, C & D) which are also used for departures giving you access to the Palma Airport shops and duty free outlets as well as plenty of places to get something to eat and drink if you are not in a hurry to get your luggage and transfer to your final destination.
From the arrivals module you just follow the signs until you arrive in the terminal's main luggage hall where you can collect your baggage. It can be quite a distance (8-10 minute walk) to baggage reclaim so try and avoid carrying lots of hand luggage. There are four automatic passenger walkways to help you on your way or if you have mobility problems you can ask your airline to arrange for a buggy to collect you from the plane and take you to the baggage hall.
There are plenty of free luggage trolleys before you get to the carousels and you should check the monitors near the entrance to find out which belt you pick up your luggage from as the carousels are clearly labelled with the incoming flight details. Oversized luggage is also delivered to the baggage reclaim carousel.
When you have collected your bags you should head towards the public arrivals hall. If someone is meeting you at Palma Airport make sure they have your flight number so that they can find out from the monitors which module you are arriving at and wait at the sets of doors you will be coming through.
An easier alternative is to meeting them at the Medas Café which is to the right of exits doors 4-5 with an outside area overlooking the car park and next to the main door which take you out into the car park where you can catch the airport bus or join the queue at the taxi rank.
If you have hired a car during your stay on Mallorca you will find the car hire desks lined up along the wall facing the main exit doors. They are in two blocks: in the first section you will find Auriga Crown, National Atesa, Record and Sixt and in the second block are Avis, Europcar, Goldcar Europa and Hertz.
If you do not want to hire a car, queue for taxis or wait around for a bus you might prefer to pre-book a private transfer from Palma Airport where a driver holding a board with your name on it will meet you after you have collected your luggage and take you to a waiting car.
