live flight departures at Palma AirportThe departures hall is on the second floor at Palma Airport and after you have checked in your luggage and obtained your boarding pass you then head to the upper floor (via lifts, escalators or stairs) to clear security and passport control and then proceed to your boarding module (A, B, C or D) to wait for your flight to be called.

If you arrive at the airport by bus or taxi they will stop directly in front of the check-in floor. If you are travelling in a private car you can either be dropped outside the departures hall or go to the fourth floor of the car park and once you have parked your car go through the tunnel to the terminal building and then head for the second floor.

To find out the number of your check in desk check the TV monitors.  The desks are facing you as you enter the terminal and are numbered left to right according to zone as follows: Zone A desks 1-34:  Zone B desks 35-68:  Zone C desks 69-102 and Zone D desks 103-136
If you are returning home with oversized objects like cycles or surfboards take it to the check-in desk that corresponds with your flight and you will be directed to the correct oversized luggage desk where you can check in the item.

There are automatic check in machines for Iberia and Spanair in the departures zone and ticket offices for all the airlines and agents.

If you arrived in Palma on a cruise ship you can check-in your luggage and collect your boarding pass at the seaport. Your cruise line will provide you with more information on this.

When you reach the upper floor you will see there is a pharmacy and large Food Gallery restaurant just before security if you want a farewell drink with someone before entering the passenger only zone.

There is a large solarium in the centre of the upper floor if you are desperate to catch those last rays.

After you have checked in and cleared security you will can head for your boarding module passing a number of shops, bars and restaurants.  At the end of the slope from the main terminal building you will see signs to gates A1-28 & B31-B38 to your left and C50-C59 & D80-D99 to your right. On your left again you will see a lift to take you down to the module B and its boarding gates.

The walk to the departures modules from the main departures hall is about 8-10 minutes but there are automatic travelators to help you on your way.

When you reach your boarding module you will find more shops, duty free outlets and places to get something eat and drink while you are waiting to board your plane.
