One of the best times to visit Palma is during the months of April, May and June when it is warm but everything is still quite fresh and revitalised from the cooler weather and winter rain. The flowers and trees are all starting to bloom and the tourist season is still busy but nothing like as frenetic as during the summer months of July and August.
The summer months can be very hot and humid, but because Mallorca is an island there is usually a bit of a breeze to be found on the coast. Inland the heat can be quite unbearable, so avoid these months if you do not like high temperatures. This is also the height of the mosquito season.
Autumn again is a favourite time with the months of September and October being when the golfers flock to the island to play in warm, but not too hot, sunshine and the summer rush has subsided. This is a good time to really explore the island as it is not too hot to visit the various attractions and do some hiking in the hilly/mountainous regions.
The evenings are much cooler now and you need to being a jacket to wear and proper shoes rather than flip-flops or sandals.
The winter can be quite overcast and rainy, but the climate is still much warmer than the UK and the skies much bluer for most of the time.
